OUR PURPOSE

Established in 2021, Perkasie Pride’s mission is to ensure a welcoming and affirming community for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families and their allies. Perkasie Pride creates events and works with local businesses and community partners to foster spaces where members of the LGBTQIA+ community can gather for socialization and fun.

PERKASIE PRIDE VALUES

  • Visibility: Through increased visibility that accurately and authentically represents the LGBTQIA+ community, Perkasie Pride is promoting positive social change.

​

  • Education: Perkasie Pride provides education to individuals, groups, and the community-at-large about the history and issues that have and continue to impact members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

​

  • Advocacy: Perkasie Pride understands that prejudice and stigma continue to negatively impact health, financial security, and safety for marginalized groups locally and globally. For this reason, Perkasie Pride advocates for equity and inclusion for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and other people facing prejudice and stigma.
